Overview

Sharp.co.ke is a free, client-side calculator toolkit for Kenya. All calculations run entirely in your browser — no data you enter into any calculator is sent to or stored on our servers.

What We Collect

We do not collect, store, or sell any personal information. Specifically:

• No account registration is required.
• No calculator inputs (salaries, loan amounts, vehicle values, etc.) are transmitted or stored.
• No cookies are set by Sharp.co.ke.

Third-Party Services

Sharp.co.ke uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Exchange Rate API (open.er-api.com) — the car import duty calculator fetches a live USD/KES exchange rate. This is a read-only request; no personal data is sent.
• WhatsApp (wa.me) — the Share button opens a WhatsApp link with your calculated result pre-filled as message text. This only activates when you click Share; no data is sent automatically.

Analytics

We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics (such as page view counts) to understand which calculators are most useful. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.

Progressive Web App (PWA)

If you install Sharp.co.ke as an app on your device, a service worker caches calculator pages and assets locally on your device for offline use. This data stays on your device and is not accessible to us.

Children

Sharp.co.ke is a general-purpose tool not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
